Hello and welcome to the Waltham Chase Caravan Club website.
The Waltham Chase Caravan Club is a friendly Hampshire based club that welcomes caravans, motor caravans and tents. Our members are spread far and wide so you don’t need to be from the local area to join! It meets on all Bank Holidays between Easter and the August Bank holiday, plus a weekend in June, July, September and October.
The club holds a Natural England Exemption Certificate that allows it to meet, with the landowners permission, for up to 28 days. The site may be as far west as Sherborne, east at Uckfield and north near Stratford upon Avon. With special permission it also meets for ten or more days in the school summer holidays
Our members are a friendly bunch who enjoy camping in the great outdoors, getting together and having a laugh. We are both Family and dog friendly and welcome campers of all ages.
We hold rallies and events between February and December, usually weekends in and around the South of England, venturing that little but further for longer bank holiday weekends. We rarely use commercial sites, which mean you will need your own sanitation, although we will always have access to drinking water and a chemical disposal point.
What is a Rally?
It is a gathering of members who enjoy weekends away with fun and fellowship thrown in for good measure. Use your caravan, tent or motor home in lovely surroundings at reasonable prices. You can enjoy a natter, have a laugh and perhaps a drink or two – a real opportunity to make new friends and visit new places.
What Happens on a Rally?
Generally, the day time is available to spend at your leisure. Saturday evening is BBQ time. We cook our own choice of food on our own BBQs, but we all sit together. The club has a domed tent which can hold all our tables and chairs, when the weather is against us. Take part in as much or as little as you wish – there is no pressure to join in anything or everything.
What Facilities are There?
A fresh water tap is available on the rally field, and a chemical disposal point. Electric hookups are available on some rallies at an extra cost but don’t let this put you off, modern caravans and motor-homes are perfectly suited to running entirely with bottled gas and a 12V leisure battery.
Attending a Rally
Due to the conditions of our exemption certificate, you can attend one rally before you are asked to join the club. Joining us is easy and quick so don’t let that put you off, contact us today!
Are you Interested?
Yes, we know its hard to make the first move, but be assured you’ll be given a warm welcome when you attend a rally with WCCC. Give it a try and your weekends will never be the same again!! If you have any questions not covered here please contact us using the details on the contact us page.
