What a fabulous ten days! It was warm and the sun shone. Fifteen kids and 28 grown-ups (at various times) enjoyed the open space of our rally field, with its stunning views, near Wareham – found by Sid and Eve last year and promptly booked for the end of this July.
Swanage, Corfe Castle, Studland, Kimmeridge and Farmer Palmer, to name a few attractions of the area. One of the very few cloudy days saw most of the gang at the latter venue enjoying the pedal carts, animals, slides and all the other attractions.
Barbeques on many nights and an American supper followed by “sports” organised by Steve, all the way from Hong Kong, saw such events as relay races involving skipping ropes, football and just plain running and egg throwing with raw eggs!
The last Saturday was a grand finale of a spectacular firework display at Swanage.
