And then there were five vans. With some lucky members heading south for France, only five vans made it to Wellington Country Park. Barry and Brenda were there to greet the Friday arrivals to the rally field that got a bad press the last time the WCCC used it.
This time the ground was firm and the water clear and inspite of showers forecast they were few and far between. This allowed members to barbecue and sit out together.
After our dinner our Chairman led some of us on a safari though the park in the gathering dusk to observe the wild deer who also observed the WCCC members. arriving back at the rally field in the gloaming they watched a barn owl ghost silently across the field behind the rally field.
It was so warm and sunny for the coffee morning on the Sunday it went on until lunch time.
