The last of the Summer sun

Breakfast at East Ashling

Yes, it was warm enough to have breakfast outside at the East Ashling Nurseries rally field. This was a first time for a WCCC rally and somewhere the club will deginitely return to. The field was level and dry and it took under an hour to get there from Waltham Chase, which makes it ideal for a weekend rally.

There was a good turn-out of 11 vans and the forthcoming retirement from work of a past chairman was a good excuse for some bubbly at the Saturday evening barbecue.

The weather was sunny and warm and the cathedral city of Chichester was close by, while the village of East Ashling, with a hostelerie, was but a short walk away across one field. The downs were close by to aford the walkers further scope for good hike.
