Easter Weekend Rally

The Thomson.com jet skimmed the top of Waltham Chase Caravan Club members’ vans. It was on its way from Bournemouth International Airport to Malaga. The only trouble for its passengers was that they were heading for a temperature in the low 60’s while WCCC members enjoyed 70degrees and full sunshine for four days.

Chris and Lynda, as rally officrs, provided the beautiful sunshine so that members could sit out in the warmth on the manicured greensward of the rally field at Parley Glade, while the youngsters, and some not so young, played rounders and the very young practised goal scoring.

Twelve vans with 30 members were at the rally, the first of the season, and as always pitched more in the tradition of anarchic American pioneers trecking thier waggons to the wild west than orderly caravans in suburban rows.

Not only had members travelled a short 43 miles to Parley Glade, but they paid less than the airport tax for the whole weekend.

I’m sure we we would all like to thank Steve for keeping everyone informed of our antics over Easter. It was also good to have positive feedback about our Blog from the members that I have spoken to.
Looking forward to our next rally now.
