AGM with an Indian meal

An Indian meal, prepared and cooked by Chris and Lynda Bezant, was enjoyed by 34 members. The meal followed the AGM recently held at Waltham Chase Village Hall.

The menu for the meal started with samosas followed by chicken korma with cumin rice, accompanied by side dishes of tomato, onion and green coriander relish, riata and home prepared poppadums. Then there was a selection of delicious desserts prepared by the ladies, including amongst the selection, pavlova, Normandy tart, trifle and lemon mousse. AND YOU DIDN’T COME? You missed a great meal.

The officers stood for re-election and were duly returned, being joined by Mel Mullen as Assistant Secretary.
Rally officers for the coming year were asked to forward their mobile telephone numbers to be included in the rally book for emergency for when the rally officer is already on site. Rally officers were also asked to contact the site a month ahead of the rally to ensure we are expected.

Under any other business approval was given to the purchase of a new knitted polyster club pennant printed with WCCC and a tent above a caravan to fly from the 4m very light extending fibre whip mast.

Members were asked to join in not only finding new sites, but surveying them for suitability for future rallies and then notifying the committee.

As we are now all personal members of ACCEO – £5 of our subs go to the Association – anyone can access the members only pages where there are 20 or so information leaflets on everything to do with rallying,  by using the current password of thelakedistrict

The February meeting, at which subs of £10 per unit will be collected in exchange for 2011 rally book, has been booked, at the Waltham Chase Village Hall, Winchester Road, Waltham Chase, SO32 2LX, from 7pm to 10pm,  for Saturday 19 February. There will be a £2 a head entry fee to cover the hall and skittles alley hire.
