A herd of horses chewed some members’ cars at the Pitton rally. They generally seemed to prefer red cars.
One young lady claimed her van moved during the night – but conceded it may have been horses bumping into it.
The invasion of the rally field by some 17 steeds occurred during the night and in the dewy dawn a brave posse of members herded them back into their own field and secured the gate.
It was the only untoward event of the weekend. The popular venue provided members with plenty to do, including the local carnival, in this picture postcard village.
